My father was seriously injured at age 96, requiring orthopedic surgery. His after surgery convalescence needs could not be met at home, resulting in what we assumed to be a temporary commitment to resident nursing facility care.  After a lengthy period of time, it became apparent that he would not improve to the point to where he would be able to return home due to special needs that could not be met.  His apparent permanent commitment to nursing facility care was devastating to him and his family.  The Money Follows the Person Program and HomeBound Medical of Mountain Home provided an alternative to resident nursing facility care, making it possible for my father to return home with the support he needed.  Ms. Mary Cooper of HomeBound medical worked with us to make it possible for father to return home to an environment that included assistant care and courteous service, resulting in a success story that otherwise would not have been possible.  Thanks Mary and HomeBound Medical for all of your efforts!
